Volunteer Get Together to thank our Befrienders

Mayor of St Edmundsbury, Julia Wakeham and Carol Lynch, chair of Forest Heath District Council, were amongst a gathering in Nowton. The Voluntary Network wanted to say “Thank You” to our group of volunteers who offer friendship and support to lonely older isolated people, giving their time generously to visit and make a difference to peoples lives.
Fantastic event, everybody enjoyed themselves and it was a good for all to share their individual experiences with each other.
We would like to thank one of our volunteers who kindly provided the venue. We look forward to our next get together in July 2017.
