Community Car Service

Volunteer drivers, using their own vehicles, transport passengers to medical appointments, visits friends/relatives or other such journeys. The service is available for those who find it difficult to use public transport.

Journey charges are usually calculated at a maximum of 33p per mile, from the drivers home, for every mile that they do on your behalf. There is a minimum charge of £2.80. There is no need to pay the driver directly, all journeys will be invoiced the following month. No membership is required.

Wheels within Wheels Service

A smaller, wheelchair accessible vehicle for hire to those who find it difficult to use public transport. Vehicle usage is charged at 33p per mile for Suffolk residents. We have some volunteers who, subject to availability, will drive the vehicle.

The vehicle may be used by groups and individuals who can provide their own drivers, we will need a copy of their driving licence and there will be a brief induction.

We have 2 vehicles - 1 in Newmarket and 1 in Brandon.

The vehicle is available 7 days a week
